Payday Loans TV Adverts
I don’t watch a lot of TV, but have on occasion been known to sit down for a good film if it is on; especially the Carry On films, we love those, and also any showings of the old Little Britain series, we’re hooked on those as well.
But something that over the years has become almost as entertaining as the shows themselves are the adverts. Some of these are just plain funny, and yet they work to sell a service or product very well.
The blue alien adverts for Argos are brilliant and very funny. And also are some of the adverts on TV for various payday loan lenders.
Payday UK’s ads are made in a military theme, with a slogan don’t say mayday, say payday UK. Catchy slogan and the ads are kind of funny, although I suspect they are not trying to be funny. But they are.
But for me the best payday adverts on the TV are Wonga’s ads. These are the ads that have the puppet characters of the three elderly people, one gentlemen and two ladies, and they talk about how fast you can receive your payday loan. The two ladies speak and the man is feverishly typing on a computer in the background.
There is another advert where the man is rating the ladies on their moves and he rates them and then turns the rating card upside down to show a lower number. The look on their faces is a scream.
There is an odd dynamic going on with the puppets, and it works on many levels.
These ads seem to be well placed on the TV as well, during certain shows and times, that may cater to who could be looking for or considering a payday loan.
And if you are not in need of a loan now, these adverts will most definitely keep the companies names in mind should the need arise.
